March 12th, 6:30 pm, join INPPA at WOMPA in Curtis Sprague's studio, 3306 Charles Page Blvd, Tulsa, OK, for an evening with our own Mark Moore.

Have you found yourself questioning whether it's time to retire your trusty DSLR camera and make the leap to a mirrorless system? As technology marches forward, the debate over when to upgrade becomes increasingly relevant. While DSLRs have long been the stalwarts of professional photography, mirrorless cameras offer enticing advantages such as compactness, silent shooting, and advanced autofocus systems. However, considerations such as lens compatibility, battery life, and cost should also factor into your decision. Furthermore, the ongoing evolution of lens technology adds another layer of complexity. Are the newer lenses truly superior to their predecessors? Join professional photographer Mark Moore for a presentation on the state of photography technology as we delve into these questions and peer into the near future to uncover what lies in store for photographers.

Mark Moore is an award-winning professional photographer with over 43 years of experience in the field. Throughout his extensive career, Mark has showcased his talent with various assignments encompassing a diverse range of subjects, including location and studio portraiture, still life photography, sports, editorial, and food photography.

For 28 years, Mark served with distinction in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. During his tenure, he deployed to Iraq, Qatar, Peru, Panama, and other locations around the world, documenting the activities of the 138th Fighter Wing as a military photojournalist.

In addition to his military service, Mark also dedicated a decade of his career to educating aspiring photographers at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, where he shared his wealth of knowledge and experience with students.
Retiring from full-time work in February of 2023, Mark has embarked on a new chapter in his life, devoting more time to his passion for personal photography. Now, he pursues his love for travel and captures stunning landscape images, showcasing the beauty of the world through his lens.

With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, Mark Moore continues to inspire and share his knowledge with audiences from beginners to seasoned pros.
